Doctor Who returned to our screens in 2005, BBC Wales have released publicity postcards featuring images of the Doctor, Rose, Martha, Donna, Amy, Captain Jack and K9, plus images from the current TV series and special episodes such as The Infinite Quest and the Christmas Specials. There are also postcards from Torchwood, the Sarah Jane Adventures, Doctor Who Adventures Magazine, Doctor Who Exhibitions and The Doctor Who Adventures Game. To date there are over 200 postcards that have been printed with the majority of these being given away free by the BBC through promotional events, signings and appearances by the cast. There have also been a very small number of retail releases and some unofficial postcards that have appeared in stores and on eBay.
